Looking for Something to do Today?

With school closed today (1/27/11) for inclement weather, why not help out our school and our kids with a little Boxtops action? There's a cool new collection form for Valentine's Day!

Get the kids involved. Print out the new collection form, have them color and decorate the form, and then fill it with Boxtops. Be sure to put the child's name on the form, and send it in to school.

We take care of the rest. We count them, sort them, make sure everything is completed properly so we get credit for your efforts, and we submit them to the Boxtops folks.

If you'd like to see how we're doing so far this year, just go to the Boxtops website and sign in. If you don't have a Boxtops account you can sign up for one fast and free.

There are lots of other great things on the Boxtops for Education website as well. You can print coupons to take to the grocery store, print more collection forms with different themes, create collection boxes, get recipes, and shop online at some of your favorite stores through the Boxtops Marketplace.

Whatever you do, have fun with this, and get creative. Ask 10 friends, family members or coworkers to help out. Ask each of them to complete one collection sheet, which is the equivalent of $1.00 raised for our kids. When your 10 helpers have given you their forms, you've just raised $10.00 more for our school and our kids. If 100 families did this, we'd raise an additional $1000.00 without a whole lot of effort.

Thank You for Supporting Spirit Day at Chick-Fil-A

A Huge Thanks for the Support!

Yesterday's Bear Creek Spirit Day at Chick-Fil-A was a great success with friends, families, and neighbors pouring in all day long. Some folks stopped in for breakfast, some for lunch, and some for dinner. Whenever you came in, thanks for stopping in to show your support for our kids and our entire Bear Creek community.

We also would like to thank our friends at Chick-Fil-A at Eastpoint for sponsoring this event. Every month we are able to invite folks to help us with this fun and tasty event, and Chick-Fil-A proudly supports our efforts and generously donates a portion of the sales back to our PTA. So again, thank you to our friends at Chick-Fil-A. You're the best!

To help support Bear Creek Elementary, all you have to do is print out the Bear Creek Spirit Day/Night flyer and present it with your order. Chick-Fil-A at Eastpoint Mall generously donates 20% of these receipts to Bear Creek.

So if you LOVE Chick-Fil-A like we do, remember to stop in for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner TODAY,  Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Just remember to print a flyer. And if you have friends or family in the area who also love Chick-Fil-A, please pass a flyer along to them as well. All are welcome, and the more, the merrier.

Remember, our Chick-Fil-A also has a kids play area, so stop on in with the kids and let them play while you enjoy a some great food!

Market Day Pickup Reminder - 1/19/11

Thank you to everyone who ordered from Market Day this month, either by sending in your order form or by going online to the Market Day website. Orders will be ready for pickup at Bear Creek tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19, 2011. They will either be in the lobby or in the gym from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Remember that Market Day orders are once a month, and pickup day is once a month. For more information about ordering from Market Day, please check out our Fundraisers page, and for order dates and pickup dates, please go to our Upcoming Events page or print out an Important Dates flyer.

Market Day ONLINE Orders Due by 1/13/2011 at 11:00 p.m.

Reminder

If you are planning on ordering anything from Market Day online, the orders are due by 11:00 p.m. Thursday night (1/13/2011). If you have never order from Market Day before, it's really easy.

All you have to do is log on to Market Day's website to place your order. If you don't yet have an account, it's easy to create one. Just remember to select Bear Creek Elementary as your school.

There is a monthly ordering deadline, and there is a pickup day every month as well. This month, for orders placed by 1/13/2011 at 11:00 p.m., you can pick your order up at Bear Creek on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in the lobby or in the gym from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Also, be sure to check out their Deals of the Week and their FREE Recipes.

Forms for ordering are also available in the school lobby, and they are sent home with the children monthly.

Boxtops Special at Food Lion

Now through January 11, 2011, when you buy 5 participation General Mills Products at Food Lion in one shopping trip, a coupon worth 20 boxtops will print out at the register. Just send that in to school with your child, and we'll get credit for 20 extra boxtops.
